memorial day

in honor of those who serve, we:

put the flag at half staff until noon and then up to full (today is the only day that you do that, recognize those who have made sacrifices in the past and honor those making them today/future);

drove out to boulder city to visit the veterans' cemetary, watch the color guard, and listen to the vfw presentation;

made a trip to the mall and walmart (since it does not get more american than that) purchasing dvds, grilling charcoal, watermelon and new toys for the cat.
