just take it all

thirteen things i should just sell in a garage sale or on ebay or give to goodwill
(week #24)

1. those green pants i keep trying to wear but just don’t fit

2. that light blue dress shirt which does not match anything else i own mostly because its the strangest shade of blue

3. the old cable modem

4. double movies. when andrew and i combined our dvd collection, we both had braveheart, minority report, the secret of nimh, princess mononoke, the rock, swordfish, drop dead gorgeous, and somehow we own three clerks.

5. we also own several double books: blackhawk down, several harry potters, clauswitz's on war, neil gaiman's good omens, some anne rice, and a couple bhagavad gitas

6. the off white knit top that isn’t long enough in the torso and so i pull on it and fidget every time i wear it

7. the half dozen unwanted mugs stashed on top of the fridge

8. the blue/grey dress coat with white fur cuff/trim which i have not worn in about five years
9. there is a whole slew of tote bags in the hall closet that should go to good homes that aren't mine

10. the fire shoes. i own a pair of black doc martins with flames on the sides. they are just the coolest shoes i've ever owned but simply do not fit me well and so i only wear them every year or so

11. andrew sold a bunch of stuff on ebay last week but still needs to ship it, this includes a miracleman comic and some buffy trading cards. so someone else owns it now, just the box is still sitting by the door at my house.

12. this next week's round of his ebay sale includes an ironman action figure, a forest full of magic cards, and an army of g. i. joes

13. 41st BCT patches and unit crests/pins which were purchased on ebay last month when we thought andrew would be in the oregon guard but now since he's not, back to ebay they go

LOL!I started spring cleaning this week, and sorting things to keep, to giveaway or to toss!!
I'd buy some of your #4 or #5s if you posted them on ebay!

Thanks for stopping by! Have you ever checked out www.yardsalequeen.com? It's a great site to check out ebay tricks and problems, plus I like to see what sells. That being said, I have never sold on Ebay, but have bought enough.

Last summer I did the big clean out of toys, books and sports equipment. I refused to let anything back in the house. Unsold books went to the library. Good luck with the de-cluttering.
    Hope to stop by again.

Oh my gosh, my front closet is stuffed with tote bags, too! I'm pretty good about getting rid of clothes; that said, I still have a skirt hanging in the closet that I bought 6 years ago... and have never worn. If it hangs there 13 more years it'll be back in style!
Happy Thursday, and thanks for stopping by my blog!

Oh, I think we can all relate to the funny clothes that we can't quite bear to get rid of.

But I'm keeping my Docs, even though I don't wear them as often as I should. Mine have a snake on one ankle, not flames.

Happy TT! Thanks for visiting West of Mars.

At least you knew y'all liked the same things! *laughing* Do you think a retirement home would like your duplicates?

Oh my, do hubby and I ever need to have a yard sale! Maybe one of these days we'll get around to it.

I enjoyed reading your list! Happy TT. Mine this week is 13 of my favorite paintings.

I seriously need to take a page out of your book and have a sale! We have more junk than we know what to do with. But you know what they say - One man's trash in another man's treasure!!
    Happy TT

I'm so going to rip apart my garage this spring and get rid of half the garbage that's there.

I had a pair of pants like that once. I actually kept them and was able to wear them! At least one motivation piece of clothing is good. hehe

That's a good idea selling on Ebay; I've got a lot of things to give away too that have just been sitting around. :-)

Oh I love ebay! It just amazes me what you can find (and sell) there!!!

I'm keeping my eyes open for a pair of black Doc Martins with flames on the sides. I hope the come in a size 8! :)

    Great list! Happy TT!

I tend to donate stuff to goodwill rather than mess with selling it. I'm too lazy. ;p

Time for a yard sale! Those fire shoes sound wild. Did you feet grow?

  • At 8:40 AM , Blogger Kim said...

We donate to Goodwill every year, but if it's something good like a computer, baby stuff, maternity clothes, etc., we'll save it for eBay or garage sales. Happy TT!!

Great idea for a list - hopefully it will inspire you and earn you a little cash too.

Happy TT, and thanks for visiting my blog.

I am cleaning next week while the kiddos are with the grandparents, lol. I think I have a box filled with computer and tv cables I need to get rid of.

I've got lots of jeans which are a little too small for me (I need to slim into them). It's frustrating seeing them hanging up in my wardrobe.

eBay is such a hassle when you're in Canada - our mail service isn't as reasonably priced as the USPS - so I tend to send everything to the Sally Ann (kinda like Goodwill).

Very creative list. I wouldn't know where to start with my list. So much stuff so little time. Oh, by the way, I love ebay.

Hope you have a blessed weekend!

I had to do that recently... I actually found the clothes easy to get rid of, anything that doesn't get worn was gone.

The old keepsakes were different... I still have all the notes my friends and I wrote in high school. I'm hoping to get organised enough to scrapbook them or something like that. I t could be some funny reading.

Hehe! Reminds me I need to do this sorta clearing out, too. This spring, I swear... this time, I'll do it...

Thanks for visiting me this week!
